We've spent 6 days in Italy in Rome and Florence, since my boyfriend and I have both visited Venice before.
哈囉！好耐無更新啦！今日想分享我之前聖誕節去既義大利之旅！需然我係好耐之前去既，但我諗暑假都會有好多人去意大利，所以希望都有d用啦!
Day 1 Rome
We took Easyjet to Rome on an early morning. Upon
arrival, we were looking for trains to take to the hotel, but someone
approached us and said we could share a ‘taxi’ with other tourists who stayed
nearby, and so we took that instead. It was quite expensive though- €50 since
our hotel was quite far from the city centre and airport.
We stayed at an absolutely beautiful hotel- Waldorf
Rome Cavalieri. I would expect Waldorf hotels to be ridiculously expensive, but
the price was similar to other hotels, probably because it was quite far from
the city centre. However, the Hotel provided frequent shuttle buses that takes
us to the city centre, and it takes about 20 minutes. The hotel interior was
impressive with yellow, white and golden tones. The rooms were not particularly
big but still a very decent size.
The only three star Michelin restaurant in Rome- Le
Pergola was also on the top floor of our hotel, which made it perfectly
convenient for us to dine there for the first night. The restaurant has a
beautiful view overlooking the whole of Rome, and the service was also really
good. It was the first tasting menu I’ve had where the prices were only on the
man’s menu! I have to say that I’ve had had better tasting menus in London-
both from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Ledbury. However, it probably because I always loved French food
(foies gras!)
我地搭左Easyjet先去羅馬。抵達之後，我地正搵緊火車採去酒店就有人走過黎，問我地要唔要同其他住係附近既旅客share 的士。 但係其實的士€50都貴，不過因為我地間酒店距離市中心同機場好遠，所以就搭左。
我地住左一間好華麗既酒店( Waldorf Rome Cavalieri) 我以為Waldorf Hotel會好貴，但可能因為離市中心好遠， 所以價錢其實同其他酒店相近 。不過，酒店都提供左好密既頻穿梭巴士帶我地到市中心，大約需要20分鐘。
我地間酒店頂層有羅馬唯一一間三星級米芝蓮餐廳Le
Pergola，所以我地第一晚就係個度食。餐廳景色俯瞰成個羅馬，好靚，而且服務都好好。今次係我第一次試過得男士既餐牌有價錢，幾好笑！但係食完我覺得英國既Gordon Ramsay 同 Ledbury 都好食過佢，不過可能係我鐘意法國美食（鵝肝！）

Day 2 Rome
On the second day in Rome, we went to all the main
tourist attractions. Our hotel shuttle bus took us to the city centre which is
a 15 minute walk to all the famous tourist attractions- Piazza Novana, Trevi
Fountain, Spanish Steps, and a little further the Colosseum, Roman Forum and
Palantine Hill. It only took us a couple of hours to walk through all of these
famous attractions. Unfortunately, the Spanish Steps were under renovation when
we went and so we didn’t get to see it.
The Trevi Fountain was my favourite- I loved the
colour of the blue/green water contrasted with the blue sky and white
architecture. I also loved it because one of my favourite HK TV shows (Triumph in
the Skies) has a memorable scene at the Trevi Fountain.
The Colosseum was also an impressive architecture were
we read about the history of it. You can also rent audio guides of different
languages so that it explains everything to you. Since Christmas was not a very
popular season to visit Italy, there wasn’t a lot of people and we only queued
for about 5-10 minutes to get in despite not having booked tickets in advance.
第二日係羅馬，我地去左所有主要旅遊景點。我地酒店既穿梭巴士帶左我地去市中心，
行15分就到所有著名既旅遊景點- Novana廣場，許願池，西班牙階梯同遠少少點有鬥獸場，
羅馬廣場同帕朗坦山。（唔知譯音有無錯！）
我地行左幾個鐘就行完所有景點 。
不過好唔好彩，西班牙階梯裝修緊， 所以我地睇唔到。
個許願池係我最鍾意既，因為衝上雲霄有一幕係個度拍既 hehe
係羅馬鬥獸場可以租唔同既語音導遊，解釋歷史 。
由於無咩人聖誕節去義大利，所以我地無訂飛，排左5-10分鐘就入到去。

Day 3 Rome
We spent the first half of the third day at the
Vatican City. We had to go through plenty of security checks- just like those
at the airport and queued for a long time to get into the St. Peter's Basilica
but it was definitely worth the wait! It is definitely one of the most gorgeous
architectures I’ve seen in my life! We also went to the Vatican Museums and saw
the Sistine Chapel after.
We spent the rest of the day going back to the city
centre of Rome to do some shopping in YSL because there’s only YSL in Rome and
Milan! (Yes YSL is not an Italian brand but I had to get tax refund!) The main
streets of Rome has all the designer shops you can imagine- Chanel, Celine, Louis
Vuitton, Dior, Fendi! It was heaven for me, but less so for my boyfriend :P . As
a Ferragamo fan, I obviously had to get a new pair of flats from there. The
sales assistants were all incredibly helpful in Ferragamo, who helped me find
the correct size and width, while my boyfriend comfortably enjoyed the free
drinks offered while waiting for me.
我地第三日用左半日係梵蒂岡。個度有好多 安檢，好似機場咁，
所以等左好耐先入到聖彼得大教堂，但絕對值得期待，真系好靚！
我地之後仲去左梵蒂岡博物館，睇埋西斯廷教堂。
之後既時間就係shopping啦！
雖然YSL唔係義大利品牌，但係因為要退稅所以就係義大利買！
羅馬既大街真係有所有你諗到既牌子！好正！
我見到飛lut雞毛就認唔住入去買左對新鞋 ：P

Day 4 Florence
On the fourth day, we took a one hour train to
Florence- our next location. I fell ill when we arrived Florence and we spent
most of the time in the hotel. However, we did get to see the famous Basilica
of Santa Croce and Duomo (in fact, we lived right next to it!) We also went to
the stunning Ponte Vecchio. It was a really gloomy day but the scenery was
still breathtaking like a painting.
We didn’t visit the Uffizi Gallery or Galleria dell’
Academia as I was felling unwell, such a pity!
第四日，我地搭左一個鐘火車到佛羅倫薩！
因為我病左， 大部分時間都係酒店休息。
但係，我地都有去左好多出名既景點：Basilica of Santa Croce， Duomo，Ponte Vecchio （超級推介！），
但係我地就無去博物館。

Day 5 Florence
We wanted to visit Michelangelo but it was
unfortunately closed…
So we went to Ferragamo museum in the flagship store
(yes Ferragamo again!) which presented the history and development of the Ferragamo
shoes. However, much of the ‘museum’ was about the history of the clock tower
where the flagship store was situated as opposed to the shoes, so I was
slightly disappointed
We also had the best meal we’ve had in the whole Italy
trip in this small restaurant called Le Fonticine! The restaurant was small and
authentic, but had the best pastas in the world! I definitely recommend going
there! The restaurant was also of a fairly normal price :)
第五日，我地本身想去睇Michelangelo，但因為無做好research，原來唔開…
不過，我地都去左飛lut雞毛博物館！幾特別，不過講個棟鐘樓既歷史多過個牌子，有d失望。。。
最後，我地去左我地覺得成個trip最好味既餐廳，叫Le Fonticine！間餐廳唔大，價錢都好普通，不過真係好好好好食！一定要去！
